The Society for the Advancement of Philosophy (http://upf.hr/en/) and the Institute of Philosophy, Zagreb (https://ifzg.hr/) are organizing the 7th edition of the ZAGREB APPLIED ETHICS CONFERENCE (ZAEC 2023) from 20 to 22 September 2023 in Zagreb, Croatia. The aim of the conference is to gather philosophers and scholars from other disciplines who will present papers on various topics in contemporary applied ethics, ranging from particular case studies to more general (foundational and methodological) considerations. In keeping with the intention to promote a rational and critical approach to, and public understanding of, the work carried out in applied ethics, we encourage clearly structured submissions adhering to the principles of conceptual rigor, soundness of argumentation and scientific accuracy.

We have the pleasure to announce that the plenary lectures at the conference will be given by Thomas Douglas (Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics, University of Oxford) and Francesca Minerva (Department of Philosophy, University of Milan).
