Society for the Advancement of Philosophy gathers philosophers and scholars from other disciplines with the interest for the advancement of philosophy as an academic discipline. The Society promotes development of philosophy in accordance with the humanistic tradition and international standards of scholarly work in philosophy. The Society encourages philosophical research, organizes cooperation and communication within both Croatian and international philosophical community, popularizes philosophy and its achievements, proposes philosophers and their works for rewards and public recognitions, endorses professional responsibility among philosophers and ethical standards of the field of philosophy. Since its foundation in 2011, the Society has organized numerous conferences, round tables, public lectures and book presentations.
